In front of many Fort Irwin Families at Reggie's, Brig. Gen. Dana J.H. Pittard, commanding general of the National Training Center and Fort Irwin along with the NTC Command Sgt. Maj. Bobby Moore signed the Army Family Covenant last Friday.

WASHINGTON—As the holidays approach and military families start thinking about what they're going to send loved ones serving overseas, there are a few dates to keep in mind.

WASHINGTON (Army News Service)—Some of the music industry's hottest singers and bands are releasing a free CD of their top hits for servicemembers and their Families for the second year in a row.

From Camp Zama, Japan, to Fort Leavenworth, Kan., leaders at 70 active duty installations and six Reserve posts across the Army signed Family Covenants in formal signing ceremonies.

Volunteers are being sought to help plant trees as part of a new tree-planting program at Fort Irwin. Raywood Ash and Modesto Ash trees will first be planted around the ball fields at the 4-Plex.
