On September 16, 2008, Greg Nelson and Jackie Hagen of the Stockton Fish and Wildlife Office, were invited to be guest speakers aboard the ‘Island Serenade,’ with Delta Discovery Cruises.  The cruise was a charity Eco Tour given to the Walnut Creek Senior Center.  Greg and Jackie discussed fisheries/water issues, and discussed conservation programs at the Stockton Fish and Wildlife Office.  The 90 minute luncheon cruise disembarked from the Pittsburg Marina and toured several local islands.  The Stockton Fish and Wildlife Office is working on a partnership with the City of Pittsburg, Calif.,  and Delta Discovery Cruises for future outreach opportunities with inner-city school children participating in hands-on eco tours.
