KENAI: Partners Address Invasive Plant Issues
Alaska Region, March 12, 2008
Print Friendly Version

Kenai National Wildlife Refuge is a partner in the Kenai Peninsula Cooperative Weed Management Area, one of only two such areas in Alaska.  The Refuge, joined by the Soil and Water Conservation Districts on the Kenai Peninsula, and other federal, state, and private land management groups, have developed an integrated weed management strategy that focuses on early detection and rapid response addressing invasive plant issues on the Peninsula.  The recently completed strategic management plan can be found online at: http://www.homerswcd.org/invasives/FINCWMAStrategy120107.pdf
