The Prairie Science Class was most recently presented at the Midwest Environmental Education Conference in Stevens Point, WI, held October 18-20.  The conference theme was "No Child Left Inside."  

Thirty formal and non-formal educators from WI, IL, and MN attended the 90-minute session called "Teaching in the Outdoor Classroom."  Participants actively engaged in discussion centered around a power point presentation, discovering how this program has succeeded in leaving no child inside.  They received handouts on curriculum integration, field-based activities, evaluation, and much more. 

The Prairie Science Class was also presented at the Aldo Leopold National Workshop in Baraboo, WI (June 2007), the Region 3 Visitor Services Workshop in Prairie City, IA (June 2007), the Minnesota Association for Environmental Education Conference in Alexandria, MN (April 2007), and the North American Association for Environmental Education Conference in St. Paul, MN (November 2006).
