 Staff from the Iron River National Fish Hatchery recently participated in the annual Citizens Fourth of July parade, in Superior, Wisconsin, and also the Blueberry Festival in Iron River, Wisconsin.

Biologist Steve Redman drove the 3,000-gallon tanker truck that was used to assist in a portion of the distribution of over 4.4 million lake trout in the upper Great Lakes this past spring. 

Facility management specialist, Clark Bartelt and family walked behind and administered goodies to all the onlookers. 

Kid’s young and old love a parade and this was a great opportunity to increase public awareness, especially for the Aug. 11^th open house, and gather community support for the fish hatchery.
