Delaware Residents Discover Many Restoration Programs Fit Their Needs
Northeast Region, April 12, 2007
Print Friendly Version

Chesapeake Bay Field Office, Partners for Fish and Wildlife staff presented an overview of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's many restoration programs, to a captivated audience at Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge, on April 12. Biologist Al Rizzo reviewed the programs utilizing the internet web sites to inform the audience about the Service's Partners for Fish and Wildlife Program, and the Chesapeake Bay Field Office's Partners for Fish and Wildlife Program, Schoolyard Habitat Program and BayScapes Program. He also added information about the Natural Resources Conservation Service's CREP and WRP programs and Delaware's Wildlife Action Plan. Participants were very enthusiastic when they learned how to access and use the Chesapeake Bay Field Office's online Native Plants for Wildlife Habitat and Conservation Landscaping guide in order to select plants that match their environmental conditions and desired results.
