Members of the Northwest Indiana Invasive Plants NetworkObtain Information on Service Grant Opportunities
Midwest Region, January 16, 2007
Print Friendly Version

Fish and Wildlife Biologist Elizabeth McCloskey, Northern Indiana Suboffice, Ecological Services, recently gave a presentation on FWS grants that are available for funding invasive species control projects, during the January 20 quarterly meeting of the Northwest Indiana Invasive Plants Network .

The presentation concentrated on the Private Stewardship Grant Program and the Great Lakes Coastal Programs Grants.  Information was also provided on North American Wetlands Conservation Act Grants, including Standard Grants and Small Grants.  With about 30 people, including various local, state, and federal agencies, NGO's, and private citizens, in attendance, it is hoped that more people from northern Indiana will apply for these grants.
