AESO Educates the Arizona Public on Native Reptiles, Habitat, and Ecology

AESO Biologist, Jeff Servoss, conducted 55 presentations throughout the 2005 calendar year in a muriad of venues to a multitude of audiences with varying cultural and racial ethnicities and socio-economic statures.  Live, native reptiles maintained in educational display units were integrated into the presentations that discussed such topics as the USFWS roles, natural history, habitat, animal behavior, ecology, human safety, and wildlife/habitat conservation.  These presentations occured in several venues including K-12 schools, private resorts, and even at hiking trailheads.  Approximately 2,835 private citizens directly benefitted from this education and outreach effort in 2005.
