Staff attended meetings of the Interdisciplinary and Technical Advisory Teams for the proposal to establish a nonessential, experimental population of the Rio Grande silvery minnow in the Rio Grande River in the Big Bend area of Texas in Austin December 8-9.  Discussions on issures surrounding the proposed reintroduction continued.  

Staff attended the second meeting on development of a Devils River Minnow Watershed Management Plan in Del Rio, Texas December 7.  The effort is being led by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, and the meeting was hosted by the City of Del Rio.   The effort is designed to as a comprehensive strategy to conserve the Devils River minnow with the  specific objective of  ensuring good, clean flowing water in the area.. 

The Candidate Notice of Review (CNOR) form annual updates were completed and sent to Regional Office.  The Washington Office provided comments on all forms for species that have been on the CNOR for more than 10 years. We sent responses to these comments on December 5, 2005.
