UPDATED SERVICE DISPLAY GREETS VISITORS AT NEW BISMARCK TERMINAL
Mountain-Prairie Region, May 2, 2005
Print Friendly Version
Travelers using the new Bismarck, ND Municipal Airport terminal can learn about endangered species while waiting for their flight. When the airport moved to the new $15 million terminal in early May, the Service was again offered free display space. Employees from the N.D. Field Office and Wetland Habitat Office jumped at the chance to update the display, which had been at the old terminal since the mid-1990s. During that time, the display themes have included Refuges, Prairies and now, Endangered Species. Currently, the display case contains black-footed ferret and piping plover mounts, young pallid sturgeon encased in plexiglass, a dried western prairie fringed orchid, and samples of confiscated items. The Service also has a similar display at the Fargo airport.
