Print Friendly Version
The Mexican Wolf Recovery Program translocated a pair of wolves into the Gila Wilderness, NM. Male 729 (M729) and female 799 (F799) were captured at the Sevilleta Wolf Management Facility on April 11, 2005. F799, visibly pregnant upon capture, was fitted with a standard VHF radio collar. The pair, known as the Ring Pack, self-released that evening. The mesh acclimation pens are designed to hold wolves for a period of time ranging from one hour to 20 days. The female is scheduled to whelp the last week of April.
