Helena National Forest

 

The Helena National Forest joined, by variety of community partners and volunteers, celebrated International Migratory Bird Day at the Helena Regulating Reservoir. This year's theme, "Boreal Forests- Bird Nursery of the North", highlighted America's Boreal Forests that provide habitat for birds to nest and raise their young.

Over 200 people attended "bird day" and enjoyed guided hikes, bird viewing. building bird houses, educational activities, willow basket weaving, music, crafts and games.
