Shasta Lake Visitor Information CenterLocated 10 miles north of Redding, on Interstate 5, the Shasta Lake Visitor Information Center has been providing a wide variety of visitor information, not only for travelers on the I-5 corridor, but for local residents of Shasta County, since it was first opened in 1981. The visitor center specializes in information about the Whiskeytown-Shasta-Trinity National Recreation Area, but they also offer information about the Shasta-Trinity National Forest, other National Forest in Northern California, nearby State and National Parks and Regional Information. In addition, the visitor center is also a Branch Store for Discover Your Northwest (DYN). Discover Your Northwest maintains active partnerships with public land agencies in five states - California, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington. DYN works closely with these land agencies by providing funds to support their interpretive missions and visitor experiences. Services Provided
