Forest
Resource Management Program
What
is the Forest Resource Management Program?
The
Forest Resource Management Program provides technical assistance to
non-industrial private forest (NIPF) landowners for improving
management of their natural resources. It complements the Forest
Stewardship Program and provides more specific services to
landowners, including sample timber marking and non-cost/share
thinning selection, sample timber sale contracts, insect and disease
identification and management, wildlife habitat improvement, and
referrals to consultants for more intense management assistance. The
State Foresters and their staff deliver this system.
