Red Blanket Trail 1090

Description: This trail offers spectacular views of pristine creeks and waterfalls. A longer hike can be accomplished by linking the Stuart Falls, Lucky Camp, and Red Blanket Falls trails. This would be approximately a 9-mile hike roundtrip. Visitors on horseback should be cautious of steep edges along the trail.

There are numerous small creeks and springs located along the trail.

ACCESS:

Butte Falls: Travel 1.0 mile east out of town until you reach the Prospect-Butte Falls Highway 992. Turn left and continue traveling for 25 miles until you reach Red Blanket Road. Turn right and continue straight ahead until you come to a fork in the road. Continue left and this will be road 6205. Follow road 6205 until it ends, approximately 13 miles. The trail begins here.

Prospect: Take the Prospect-Butte Falls Highway towards Butte Falls for approximately one mile to Red Blanket Road. Turn left and follow the same directions as above. There is ample parking and plenty of turnaround space.
