Land Management Plan (LRMP)

The revised Land Management Plan for San Bernardino National Forest is now available. This plan will provide strategic guidance for management of the forest for the next 10-15 years.

Recreation Facility Analysis

The San Bernardino National Forest is developing future management plans for our developed recreation sites. The process is called Recreation Facility Analysis and involves seven steps collectively designed to help identify the developed recreation sites that are best suited for the forest. Every national forest in the country will be completing this process by the end of 2007.

Recreation Residence Consistency Review and Continuance Determination

The San Bernardino National Forest is proposing to re-issue 750 new 20-year Recreation Residence Special Use Permits for 22 tracts on the San Bernardino National Forest. Seventeen tracts are located on the Mountaintop Ranger District, three tracts are located o the Front Country Ranger District, and two tracts are on the San Jacinto Ranger District. All of the current permits expire December 31, 2008.
