Meteorology Job Search Help

Hints when surfing the OPM site for a meteorology job...
• the series number for government meteorology jobs is 1340
• the list provided will include both military and civilian jobs
• all NWS forecasting jobs WILL require at least a B.S. in meteorology or atmospheric sciences (actually, almost ALL meteorology jobs now will require at least a B.S.)
• NWS meteorological interns usually start at a pay scale of GS-5 or GS-7,mainly depending upon your grades and whether you have a B.S., M.D., or Ph.D.
