Are All Seats Safe?
All car seats rated by NHTSA meet Federal Safety Standards & strict crash performance standards. While all rated seats are safe, they do differ in their ease of use in four basic catagories:

No additional sizing information is given to help caregivers achieve a proper fit. Belt routing path labeling is not contrasting. Belt routing path is not labeled. Labels do not clearly depict LATCH preparation. Labels do not remind caregiver to tighten LATCH belt. Labels do not show the caregiver how to remove tether from its storage. The caregiver must read text written on the labels to complete tether installation correctly. No instructions are given for the use of the tether on the restraint itself; the caregiver must refer to the restraint owner's manual to properly install the tether.

Warning that the rear seat is the safest place for children is buried in a bulleted list of other warnings. The caregiver must read text to correctly prepare and route the LATCH belt.
Securing the Child2 stars
Multiple actions are required to convert the seat to this mode from other modes; these must be carefully followed in the manual." rethread when reassembling after cleaning. Loose parts exist when disassembling for cleaning.
Installation Features4 stars
Twisting is required to remove the LATCH attachments from the lower anchors in the vehicle. No label is posted on the restraint to denote LATCH storage.
