Arthur W. Goodhand, Southeast Region Acting Director
Arthur W. Goodhand has been Acting Regional Director of the OTS Southeast Region since March 2009. Based in Atlanta, Goodhand is responsible for the examination, supervision and regulation of the savings and loan industry in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
Before becoming Acting Regional Director, Goodhand served as Regional Deputy Director of the Southeast Region since July 2003, working with the Regional Director to develop and implement Regional policies, procedures, strategies and controls.
Goodhand began his career in 1985 as a Supervisory Analyst with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta. He later served as a Review Examiner and Caseload Manager, then Assistant Director of the OTS Southeast Region.
Goodhand is a recipient of an OTS Meritorious Achievement Award and a Certificate of Recognition from the Secretary of the Treasury. He holds a B.A. from Hobart College and an M.B.A. from Georgia State University. He is also a graduate of the Federal Executive Institute Executive Leadership Program.
