The National Weather Service issued a triple weather warning today through Saturday; a hazardous weather outlook, a heat advisory and a red flag warning. This means excessive heat and dryness is a danger to not just anyone being outdoors, but the outdoors itself. With high temperatures, low humidities and strong winds, the potential for active fire behaviour is enhanced. If you plan to travel in the Mount St. Helens area through this weekend, make sure you have plenty of water, take frequent rest breaks and be very careful with anything that might cause a fire.

Views of Mount St. Helens should be picture perfect the next several days as the high pressure system dominates the area. You may see volcanic dust carried aloft by the swirling winds within the crater.
