The Office of Financial Management provides financial oversight and information on the use of agency financial resources.

Office Divisions

  • Financial Policy – and implements accounting and financial management policy
  • Accounting Operations – provides accounting services to Washington headquarters:
    • General Accounting
    • Accounts Payable
  • Business Integration – maintains FAA’s financial management, cost accounting, and procurement systems:
    • Customer Service
    • Special Projects
  • Property Control and Analysis – manages the accounting and recording of FAA property, and equipment
  • Internal Controls – assures the adequacy of FAA’s internal controls

National and Regional Accounting Responsibilities

The Finance Center located at Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center is responsible for regional and center accounting operations. Known as the Department of Transportation Enterprise Services Center (ESC), the Finance Center is one of four Office of Management and Budget approved sites providing accounting operations and financial system support.

The Alabama and Southwest regional accounting grant offices consolidated in FY 2005. The six remaining grant offices will consolidate in FY 2006 to allow for the straight-lining of accounting practices and efficient and cost effective grants.
