If you are scheduled for an overnight stay in Durham, you will be staying at the Millennium Hotel. The Millennium, located 1 mile from the clinic, is known for its friendly, personalized service. A doorman is on duty 24 hours a day. Guest rooms are clean and spacious. A heated indoor pool, sundeck and whirlpool provide great places to relax. If you want to get in a workout, the Millennium offers a fitness center with modern equipment. A business center is available to check your email.

Please enjoy dinner in the hotel restaurant, Bel Gusto. Bel Gusto offers patio as well as indoor dining. The menu features something for everyone, including, pastas, soups, salads, pizzas and specialty entrees. Be sure to save room for dessert and a cup of cappuccino!

On the morning of your appointment, please check out of the hotel and ask the front desk to store your luggage for you. Then, take the 7:30 shuttle to Duke. (Tell the driver to let you off in front of the Cancer Center. The entrance you need is to the left of the Cancer Center.) The Duke Coordinator will meet you at the entrance.

When it is time to return to the Millennium, please call the hotel shuttle at 919-383-8575. Again, make sure the driver knows to pick you up in front of the Cancer Center.

When you arrive at the hotel, collect your luggage. If you need to travel to RDU Airport, please let the hotel know and the shuttle will take you.

We will pick up the following hotel costs:

• Your room and taxes
• Dinner at Bel Gusto. You may not exceed $36.75 for the entire day, including tax and tip.
• Auxiliary fee, which pays for the shuttle to Duke, use of the business center and local phone calls
• The shuttle to and from the airport (if you are flying)

Directions from the hotel to Duke

• Turn LEFT out of the Millennium Hotel parking lot. Drive 0.2 miles.
• Turn RIGHT at S LaSalle Street. Drive 0.2 miles.
• Turn LEFT onto Erwin Road. Drive 0.7 miles.
• Turn RIGHT at Trent Drive.
• Drive down Trent until you see a parking garage on your left. Park in that lot, then exit the lot by walking to Trent Drive and turning left. Walk toward the Cancer Center. The Duke site coordinator will meet you at the entrance that is to the LEFT of the Cancer Center entrance.
