YUM-O Scholarship Announcement
This spring, Yum-o! will award ten $2,500 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are planning to enroll in a post-secondary foodservice program. In addition, if any of the scholarship recipients come from one of the Alliance for a Healthier Generation’s Healthy Schools Program’s schools, Yum-o! will make a donation in the amount of half of the scholarship's value to the student’s school in support of its programs.

Action For Healthy Kids Team Grants Results
During the 2007-08 school year, Action for Healthy Kids Teams combined reached 141,329 students, teachers, administrators, families and community members in 1,598 schools and 412 different school districts. Click on the PDFs below to read about the results of Teams' projects.

Wellness Policy Tracker Train the Trainer Webinar
Learn More: If you work with school wellness coordinators or others involved in wellness policy implementation and want to learn more about the new tracker and how to use it, please join us for another Wellness Policy Tracker Train-the-trainer webinar. We’ll discuss and walk through the tracker features to better equip you to assist school wellness coordinators with monitoring and assesses their local wellness policies.

ReCharge! Energizing After-School Webinar
Action for Healthy Kids is proud to announce that due to popular demand, we are continuing to offer ReCharge! Energizing After-School webinar opportunities throughout 2009. These 60-minute orientation sessions will teach participants how the ReCharge! curriculum can educate students about the importance of a healthy diet…WHILE having fun and being physically active. Participants will receive a certificate of completion to apply toward professional development requirements and other certifications.
