In the past year, the OSV Bold provided state of the art oceanographic support in the Atlantic Ocean, from the coast of Maine, to the Gulf of
Mexico, and the Caribbean. Scientific crews onboard collected data on topics ranging from coral reef health monitoring, assessment of Gulf of Mexico hypoxia
and red tide in New England waters, and monitoring of dredged material dumpsites.
At port in Corpus Christi, Texas, Bold Captain Jere Chamberlain takes time to show schoolchildren the ship.
EPA's Ocean Survey Vessel Bold is helping to chart a healthier course for our ocean, ensuring that the beauty and health of our oceans will
be enjoyed for years to come by future generations.
