Plaskett Meadows

Located 36 miles northwest of Elk Creek and 15 miles east of Eel River Station on Forest Highway #7. The Camp is in an area of mixed species of pine and fir. There are two small lakes, three to four acres each, for trout fishing. No motorized boats allowed. Swimming is not recommended. Facilities: 35 units, 4 toilets, gravity water system, fire rings, trailer space (l6 feet and under). Elevation 6,000 feet. Closed by snow in winter. FEE: $10.00

Plaskett Meadows Picnic Area

Located 36 miles northwest of Elk Creek on Forest Highway #7, across the lake from Plaskett Campground. Facilities: one toilet, tables, fire grills, and parking area. No water. Closed by snow in winter. FEE: $0

Masterson

Group camp with capacity of up to 75 people. Located 1 mile from Plaskett Lake. Facilities: 2 toilets, gravity water system, tables and fire rings. Available by reservation only at Recreation.gov. Elevation 6,000 feet. Open from June 15 to October 15. FEE: $75.00

Fouts Campground

Located about 9 miles west of Stonyford on Road #18N03. Adjacent to stream. General vegetation in the area is brush and Gray pine trees. Facilities: 11 tables, 11 stoves, 1 toilet (accessible for disabled), trailer space (16 feet maximum). Elevation 1,700 feet. High Off-Highway Vehicle use October 1 to June 1. Open year round. FEE: $5.00

Mill Creek

Located 8 miles west of Stonyford on Mill Creek on Road #18N01. The stream flow is best in winter and early spring. Small roadside campground that has 6 tables, one toilet, fire rings, no drinking water. Elevation 1,700 feet. High High Off-Highway Vehicle use use October 1 to June 1. Open year-round. FEE: $5.00

North Fork

Located 10 miles west of Stonyford on Road #18N03, adjacent to a year long stream. The camp is located in an open grove of oak trees and has 10 tables, 10 stoves, 1 toilet and no water. Elevation 1,700 feet. High Off-Highway Vehicle use October 1 to June 1. Open year-round. No garbage collection (pack-it-in, pack-it-out). FEE: $5.00

Old Mill

Located 10 miles west of Stonyford on Road M-5, in a mature stand of mixed pine and fir. Small trailers can use the site, but main access road up Trough Ridge is narrow. 10 camp areas, 1 toilet. Elevation 3,700 feet. No garbage collection (pack-it-in, pack-it-out). FEE: $0

Cedar Camp

Access up Trough Ridge or Little Stony Road is not recommended for trailers. The camp has 5 tables, fire rings, 1 toilets and no potable water. Elevation 4,300 feet. Closed by weather in winter. No garbage collection (pack-it-in, pack-it-out). FEE: $0

Little Stony

Located 10 miles southwest of Stonyford. The camp is located in the little Stony Creek drainage. The site is very popular in winter, when stream is in full flow. The camp has 8 sites, 11 tables, fire rings, 2 toilet, and no potable water. Trailers not recommended. Elevation 1,500 feet. High Off-Highway Vehicle use October 1 to June 1. Open year-round. No garbage collection (pack-it-in, pack-it-out). FEE: $5.00

Mill Valley

Letts Lake Complex

[Photograph]: Canoe at Letts Lake. Located 19 miles west of Stonyford. Camps: (1) Main Letts, (2) Saddle, (3) Stirrup, and (4) Spillway. The main feature of area is a 35 acre lake for non-motorized type boating, trout fishing and swimming. Access road and camps suitable for 16 to 20 foot camping trailers. 44 campsites are located in a mixed conifer stand. Toilets, fire rings, water system and trailer space. Elevation 4,500 feet. Closed by snow in winter. FEE: $12.00

Big Springs Picnic Area

DAY USE ONLY. Located on west side of Letts Lake, accessed by a road 1/4 mile beyond the Letts Lake Complex turnoff. The Picnic area has 10 tables, 10 barbecues and fire rings, 2 toilets. Closed by snow in winter. No overnight camping. FEE: $0

South Fork

Located 9.5 miles west of Stonyford on Road 18N03. With 5 campsites, 1 toilet, tables and fire rings. Located on the South Fork of Stony Creek. No potable water. Open year round. FEE: $0

Gray Pine Group

Group camp with capacity of up to 75 people. Located 9.5 miles west of Stonyford on road 18N03. General vegetation is manzanita, brush, and gray pine trees. Facilities include tables, 1 toilet, flip top barbecue, fire rings, trailer space. Available by reservation only at Recreation.gov. Garbage collection nearby. High Off-Highway Vehicle use October 1 to June 1. Open year round. FEE: $75 per night.

Dixie Glade

[Photograph]: Dixie Glade Camping Area. Located 13 miles west of Stonyford on road M10. Dixie Glade serves as one of the trail heads to the Snow Mountain Wilderness, accessing the Deafy Glade trail. Small, quiet campground with 8 campsites, 3 picnic sites amidst ponderosa pine, douglas fir, and oaks. Facilities include tables, stoves, fire rings, 1 toilet. Please pack out garbage. No water. Suitable for horse camping. Hitching posts, corrals and watering troughs are on site. FEE: $5.00
