Washington, DC - The National Council on Aging (NCOA) has added J.P. Morgan Chase to its list of corporate sponsors of its BenefitsCheckUp® online service.

Developed and maintained by NCOA, www.BenefitsCheckUp.org is the nation's most comprehensive Web-based service that helps seniors with limited income and resources screen for benefits programs.  Since 2001, more than two million people have used the service identifying benefits valued at more than $7 billion.

"We are pleased J.P. Morgan has signed on as a sponsor of BenefitsCheckUp," said NCOA Senior Vice President Stuart Spector.  "In these troubled economic times, BenefitsCheckUp provides an increasingly needed public service.  Sponsorships are an important way for NCOA to maintain this free service that now receives over 100,000 visitors on a monthly basis."

The worsening economy has put new pressure on many seniors who have never needed help paying for their energy bills, rent, food or health care in the past.  BenefitsCheckUp is a way for older people or those who care about them to go online and find out if they are eligible for benefits programs that can also find jobs and more.  The service provides information on more than 1,650 public and private benefits programs from all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

"We are glad to be able to sponsor such a critical service at such a critical time," said Laurie Neill, managing director, Public Sector Solutions, J.P. Morgan. "We are also pleased to be able to give BenefitsCheckUp users a way to get information about having their federal benefits directly deposited to a Chase Direct Deposit Card, and easing the benefits process for people."

J.P Morgan joins a growing list of BenefitsCheckUp sponsors, including healthcare organizations, foundations and others.
