SAMHSA Grant Annoucements

FY 2009 Funding Opportunities

Important Message Regarding Grants.gov Web Site

As Grants.gov anticipates it will be receiving a very large number of applications over the next weeks as a result of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, we are recommending the following to applicants planning to apply electronically for SAMHSA RFAs:
  • Start the process as early as possible.
  • Be prepared to submit your completed application to Grants.gov at least one (1) week prior to the application due date, allowing sufficient time for delays or problems.
  • Be sure that you receive the Grants.gov tracking number. This is your indication that Grants.gov has successfully received and validated your application. Submission instructions are on the Grants.gov website and in Appendix B Guidance for Electronic Submission of Applications included in each SAMHSA RFA.
  • Should any submission problems remain unresolved after several attempts or several days, submit a hard-copy of your application to the address listed in the RFA.
  • If SAMHSA receives both an electronic application and a hard-copy from the same applicant, the electronic version will be considered the official submission.
  • All applications, whether electronic or hard-copy, must be received by SAMHSA in accordance with the published due dates.
