Washington Flight Program Office (Hangar 6)

ARC's Washington Flight Program Office, often referred to as Hangar 6, is located at the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. The Washington Flight Program provides aviation support for senior government officials including the Secretary of Transportation, the FAA Administrator and Deputy Administrator, NASA, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Presidential Cabinet members, members of Congress, and other federal government organizations.

Twenty-five highly experienced flight and ground personnel devote their knowledge and skills toward the safe and efficient operation of these five aircraft. Aircraft and crews are provided for the emergency transportation of Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) personnel, equipment and materials to major national disaster sites in the United States.

Their work directly affects the safe and efficient administration of the agency, and affects outside interests involved in national and international activities, services, functions, and emergency situations. They also transport the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) accident investigation teams to major accident locations.

Standby aircraft and qualified flight crews must be available at all times to meet these emergency requirements on short notice during normal and after duty hours anywhere in the world.
