ITC VOTES TO END CASE ON HYDRAULIC MAGNETIC CIRCUIT BREAKERS FROM SOUTH AFRICA

The United States International Trade Commission (ITC) today determined that there is not a reasonable indication that a U.S. industry is materially injured or threatened with material injury by reason of imports of hydraulic magnetic circuit breakers from South Africa that are allegedly sold in the United States at less than fair value.

All four commissioners voted in the negative.

As a result of the Commission's negative determination, the investigation will end.

The Commission's public report Hydraulic Magnetic Circuit Breakers from South Africa (Investigation No. 731-TA-1033 (Preliminary), USITC Publication 3600, June 2003) will contain the views of the Commission and information developed during the investigation.

Copies of the report are expected to be available after June 26, 2003, by calling 202-205-1809 or from the Office of the Secretary, 500 E Street SW, Washington, DC 20436. Requests may also be faxed to 202-205-2104.
