FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE SEPTEMBER 27, 2002 CONTACT: Linda Formella (202) 565-3200 EX-IM BANK TO HOLD SECOND MEETING OF RENEWABLE ENERGY EXPORTS ADVISORY COMMITTEE SEPT. 30 The Export-Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im Bank) will hold a meeting of its 2002 Renewable Energy Exports Advisory Committee at Ex-Im Bank's headquarters in Washington, D.C., on Monday, September 30, 2002. The event is open to the public. RENEWABLE ENERGY EXPORTS ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING In accord with President Bush's National Energy Policy, the advisory committee was established to provide Ex-Im Bank's board of directors with expert guidance on increasing support for U.S. exports of market-ready, renewable energy products and technologies that generate efficient energy and preserve a clean environment. The committee held its first meeting June 6, 2002. It will hold a third meeting later in the year and expects to present Ex-Im Bank's board of directors with recommendations before the end of 2002. |
