US Fish & Wildlife Service - Journal Entry AK PENINSULA: King Salmon Visitor Center open 7 days per week Region 7, June 13, 2004 The King Salmon Visitor Center is now open seven days a week. The Center had been operating on a reduced schedule due to a vacant Park Ranger position. That position has now been filled. Also, a student internship program through the Bristol Bay Education Development Corporation is new for this year and allows a local high school student to work for up to six weeks, earn money, and learn important job skills.
