Decisions on Proposals: FY2003 - 2004 Competitive Grants Process

Selections of Proposals submitted to the USEPA Great Lakes National Program Office (GLNPO) FY2003-2004 competitive grants process have been made. Earlier this year in response to GLNPO's solicitation for $4.8 million in projects, applicants submitted 340 proposals totaling $28.5 million. 92 projects have been selected. GLNPO requested full grant applications from the applicants for the projects identified at the end of this message. One or more of these projects is located in each of the Great Lakes states. A check ( ) by the respective project indicates that GLNPO has received the application package for the project.

Applicants should be aware that the final decisions on whether to fund particular projects will only be made following evaluations of the full federal application packages. Applicants may be asked to submit a revised proposal for an amount different than originally requested. Additional negotiation may be necessary regarding the project scope and amount. USEPA staff have contacted the applicants for the projects listed below and have sent specific guidance along with grant application kits.  Applicants should note that an initial selection has been made of a Grants Servicing Intermediary under RFP4. The Grants Servicing Intermediary is expected to administer the projects designated with an asterisk below.

Should there be questions concerning the review process or next steps, please contact the applicable person below.
