16, 2002 REGISTRATION EXAMINATION RESULTS
The results of the October 16, 2002 registration Examination were mailed
on December 6, 2002 to all candidates who took the examination. If you
took the examination and have not received your results by Wednesday,
December 11, 2002, please contact the Office of Enrollment and Discipline
by phone at (703) 306-4097, or by facsimile at (703) 306-4134.
The package sent to each candidate who passed the examination included
a FORM PTO-120, OATH OR AFFIRMATION and FORM PTO 107A, Data Sheet-Register
of Patent Attorneys and Agents. These two documents must be completed
and returned with the appropriate fees to the Office of Enrollment and
Discipline by January 6, 2003. The mailing address for the Office of Enrollment
and Discipline is: Mail Stop OED, Director, USPTO, P. O. Box 2327, Arlington,
Virginia 22202-2327.
The package sent to each candidate who did not pass the examination included,
1) a copy of the individual’s answer sheets and 2) instruction for requesting
a regrade of the examination. If you did not pass the examination and
a copy of your answer sheets and/or the instruction for requesting a regrade
were not included with your notification, please contact the Office of
Enrollment and Discipline at (703) 306-4097. Regrades must be requested
in writing by February 6, 2003, and must contain the appropriate fee to
be considered by the Office.

Printed copies of the questions and model answers are available for a
prepaid fee of $30.00 for the exam.
The General Requirements Bulletin and Application forms is available on

The printed Bulletin is available from the Office of Enrollment and Discipline
(OED) as single copies for $15.00 per copy.
The overall passing rate for the October 16, 2002 registration examination
was 72%. There were 1,956 individuals who took the examination.
