There is a new Dissertations and Theses web page under "Education" that allows the public to peruse transportation student dissertations and theses through the UW Engineering Library. The page will be updated quarterly to coincide with student graduations.

Annual TRB Meeting Registration is Open -Financial Support is Available

Registration is now open for the Annual TRB Meeting in Washington, DC from January 11-15, 2009. Visit http://www.trb.org/meeting/2009/default.asp for information about registration and hotel accommodations. Register by November 30, 2008 to receive the discounted rate.

TransNow will support a portion of the travel expenses for students who are primary authors of papers accepted for presentation at the meeting and US citizens or permanent residents. Interested students must review the TRB travel guidelines document to arrange reimbursement.

Attention Undergrads: Tuition Scholarships Available!UW Fountain and Mt. Rainier

TransNow is providing two in-state tuition scholarships to full time Junior or Senior CEE students. These students should currently be working in a transportation related internships for 15 hours per week. Their employers should be companies or agencies whose principle businesses include transportation planning and/or engineering. The recipients must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents.

Registration Open for Region X Student Conference

September 24, 2008
Register for the Region X Student Conference on November 7, 2008 on UW campus.

TransNow will reimburse up to $100 in travel fees to the conference (airline and/or hotel expenses) for transportation students who attend the UW or WSU and are US citizens or permanent residents. Students will need to provide the TransNow office with official receipt(s) of travel. The receipts will be processed by our office and students will receive reimbursement check(s). Please contact us for more information on the requirements.



Research Associate Position Announcement

September 18, 2008
TransNow is accepting applications for a postdoctoral Research Associate in traffic engineering to begin work as early as October 1, 2008 and no later than December 1, 2008. The successful applicant is expected to teach a fundamental course within the CEE Department at the UW. For more information, view the job announcement on the UW Academic Human Resources page.
