Payload Mass Simulator / Falcon 1

The payload is a 165 kg (364 lbs.)mass simulator, designed and built by SpaceX, specifically for the Falcon 1 mission. The mass simulator consists of a hexagonal aluminum alloy chamber, which is attached to the standard payload mounting structure. It remains attached to the Falcon 1, second stage as it orbits the Earth.
