This newsletter focuses on customer satisfaction with airport security screening procedures. One in three adults in the United States took an airline flight departing from a domestic airport between December 2003 and November 2004 (table 1), and 90 percent of these passengers expressed satisfaction with airport security screening procedures. These findings are from the December 2004 Omnibus Household Survey conducted by the U.S. Department of Transportation's Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS).
