The subsector is divided into two industry groups for general freight trucking and specialized freight trucking. This distinction reflects differences in equipment used, type of load carried, scheduling, terminal, and other networking services. These data do not include support activities for road transportation (NAICS 4884), freight transportation arrangement services (NAICS 4885, part), the Postal Service (NAICS 491), or courier services (NAICS 492, part).
