The Institute for Transportation Research and Education (ITRE) is an
inter-institutional research center, administered by North Carolina State
University
. Located within Centennial Campus, ITRE conducts research, education, and provides technical assistance for a variety of surface transportation issues. ITRE serves all 16 campuses of the University of North Carolina (UNC) system.
