Administration and Special Events
In addition to the staff listed below, Ford Museum staff in Grand Rapids provide important support to Library staff and programs.

Elaine is director of both the Library in Ann Arbor and the Museum in Grand
Rapids.

Dave supervises the archival and special events staffs, and assists the director
in planning and daily administration of the Library.

Kate plans and implements the Library’s speaker, special event, and

Archives
All archives staff also do reference work and have administrative, exhibit,
and public program duties.
- Stacy Davis -- Archivist
Stacy oversees accessioning, input for the National Archives’ on-line
Archival Research Catalog, storage and description of AV collections, and student
recruitment via the College Work-Study Program. She administers an annual
dissertation research grant program, The Gerald R. Ford
Scholar Award in Honor of Rober M. Teeter.

Christian does project work in accessioning, processing, and general reference. He
manages reference photocopy orders and billing.

- William McNitt -- Archivist
Bill provides special expertise and mentoring leadership to all staff on textual
processing and reference, and IT issues. He helped develop both the Library’s
website and the powerful PRESNET collections description database. He is the
Library’s daily liaison with building security and maintenance contractors.

- Nancy Mirshah -- Archives Specialist
Nancy handles most AV reference, plans and produces the Gerald R. Ford Foundation
Newsletter, manages the Library’s printed works collection, and processes
AV materials.

Helmi has senior duties for declassification review of national security collections,
information security compliance, and liaison with State Department historians. She
administers the semi-annual Gerald R. Ford Foundation Research Travel Grants
program.

Jill, a graduate student in information studies, assists in a range of textual
and audiovisual collections projects and reference.

Interns/Volunteers
The Library does not have a volunteer/intern program. Instead, each year,
the Library accepts a limited number of student workers eligible for the College
Work-Study Program of the University of Michigan Financial Aid Office. These
students, often graduate students in archives studies, perform duties in lieu
of interns and volunteers.
