Public
awareness, concern, involvement are crucial components of migratory bird conservation.
Citizens enthusiastic about birds, informed about their threats, and empowered
to become involved in addressing those threats, can make a tremendous contribution
to maintaining healthy bird populations. Outreach, education, and communication
are important resource management tools employed by the Migratory Bird Management
program to broaden public awareness and promote involvement in migratory bird
