SUBJECT: Introductory Courses on "Gifts" in Washington, DC


The U.S. Office of Government Ethics (OGE) will conduct two courses on "Gifts" in Washington, DC on November 26. Both courses are intended for ethics officials with little or no experience advising employees on gifts. The course titles, dates and times are below:

Gifts from Outside Sources 11/26/96 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon Gifts between Employees 11/26/96 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

NOTE: The "Widely Attended Gatherings and Other Events" portion of the Gifts from Outside Sources course and the entire Gifts between Employees course were offered at the September 1996, 6th Annual Government Ethics Conference in Philadelphia. These courses are free to each agency. However, advanced registration is required. Each person planning to attend MUST register by faxing a completed registration form to OGE by Thursday, November 21. Registration will be handled on a first-come basis and each class size is limited to 40 participants per workshop. NO TELEPHONE REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. A registration form is attached. OGE will confirm each student's registration by return fax prior to the course. Due to the volume of registrations, we ask that registrants NOT follow up on confirmations.
