SUBJECT: "OGE Form 450 Review Course"
offered in Washington, DC
The U.S. Office of Government Ethics (OGE) will conduct two
identical courses on OGE Form 450 Review in Washington, DC on
October 28, 1997 and November 18,1997. This course was recently
presented at the 1997 Annual Government Ethics Conference.
The course will be conducted twice at:

200 Constitution Avenue
Washington, DC 20201
NOTE: October 28 course will be in Room N5437 B/C (5th floor)
and November 18 course will be in Room N4437 A/B (4th floor).
The three-hour review course is intended for ethics officials
who have some experience reviewing the OGE Form 450 and advising
employees about financial disclosure. The course was designed to
sharpen reviewers skills by:
* providing a refresher on the OGE Form 450 and all of the
individual parts of the report;
* discussing what filers should report in each part of the
form;
* providing resources that may be used to research a
particular item on a report; and
* discussing and practicing both a technical review and a
conflict of interest analysis of a particular report.

These courses are offered FREE to each agency. However,
advance registration is required. Each person planning to attend
MUST register by faxing a completed registration form to OGE one
week BEFORE each course date. Registration will be handled on a
first-come basis and each class size is limited to 40 participants
per workshop. NO TELEPHONE REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

the course date. Due to the volume of registrations, we ask that
