Central Contractor Registration (CCR)

The Federal Streamlining Act of 1994 (PL 103-355) requires the broad use of Electronic Commerce and Electronic Data Interchange (EC/EDI) by Federal Agencies. Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-16 amended Parts 1, 2, 4, 13, 32 and 52, of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) to require contractor registration in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of any contract, basic agreement, basic ordering agreement, or blanket purchase agreement on or after October 1, 2003.  For registration information, visit the CCR Web site .
