2009 Pacific Aviation Directors Workshop

The Republic of the Marshall Islands, in partnership with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), is co-hosting the annual Pacific Aviation Directors Workshop in Majuro. The workshop will be held from May 4-6, 2009, at the International Conference Center. This year's theme is "Aviation Safety and Sustainability in the Pacific — Environment, Energy, & Economic Viability".

The workshop geographic area covers Pacific Region airports in the Republic of Palau, the Republic of Marshall Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, Guam, Hawaii, and the Northern Mariana Islands. It is widely attended by stakeholders, airline and aviation industry partners, and high level foreign officials, as well as various U.S. government agencies including Department of Interior, U.S. Department of Agriculture, National Weather Service, Transportation Security Administration, and FAA.
