TABLE 2 - NOTES
Agriculture
* Unable to Determine Employees on AWS.
Commerce
* Eligible teleworkers are to be determined.
Defense
* Reflect the number of eligible employees offered telework. DoD could only provide numbers for employees being offered the opportunity to telework. The telework offer was being made at the time of the survey. The agency reported this number with the expectation that most being given the opportunity will in fact accept.
** Does not separately categorize. All teleworkers are reported as either regularly scheduled or episodic regardless of the reasons for telework.
*** Numbers with regard to the duty station of teleworkers reflect only regularly
scheduled teleworkers. Data is not available at this stage on the geogpraphic split of ad hoc teleworkers
Energy
* Generally, DOE employee eligibility is determined by the individual tasks
performed by an employee.
** The DOE time and attendance system does not capture all alternative work
schedules. Surveys taken over the last 5 years have shown that about 67% of DOE employees are on some form of an alternative work schedule, including compressed work schedules.
Farm Credit Administration
* All employees select the time they start and end each day (within a time band). All employees select a Flexible Work Schedule, Compressed Work Schedule, or a Standard Work Schedule. Individuals who select a Flexible Work Schedule are allowed to earn credit hours.
Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (FDIC)
* All employees are eligible with the exception of students, probationary employees, and those with performance/conduct issues.
** The episodic number covers those who teleworked at least 1 hour during previous 6 months.
Federal Reserve System
* Regularly scheduled teleworkers includes 3 medical teleworkers
General Services Administration
* The "medical" category is included in GSA's regular/regularly scheduled category.
Labor
* Do not track employees teleworking due to medical conditions, they are included in their regularly scheduled and episodic numbers.
** These are field positions designated "Road Warriors."
National Archives and Records Administration
* The pilot has only been underway since October 1, 2001.
National Credit Union Administration
* Field positions and remote duty stations.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission
* Episodic Teleworkers not tracked at this time.
Overseas Private Investment Corp. (OPIC)
* The number of eligible positions is based on a preliminary review by OPIC telecommuting program staff related to the criteria in the final draft policy. The actual number will be determined by managerial decisions in reference to the program criteria.
Treasury
* These are "at least" numbers - some components could not provide numbers.
