Land Acquisition

AUTHORITIES

Land protection/acquisition, like other Fish and Wildlife Service activities, can only be accomplished in accordance with authority given by Congress and interpreted by regulations and guidelines established in accordance with such authority. Authorities exist for the purchase, exchange, and donation of land.
