NBC's Government-to-Business (G2B) Initiatives

The National Business Center (NBC) has created a web site to provide Government procurement offices with the tools necessary to interact with the vendor community from their own desktops for both simplified acquisitions and large contracts. The Interior Department Electronic Acquisition System – Electronic Commerce (IDEAS-EC) site is a complete Internet solution that allows vendors to search our web site for any Request for Quotations (RFQs) and Requests for Proposals/Invitations for Bids (RFP/IFB) that are currently posted. Vendors may search all available documents or complete a selected search.

The information posted on the NBC IDEAS-EC web site will provide vendors the ability to view and quote on Simplified Acquisition actions and their associated Amendments and attachments on-line. Quote evaluation forms will be automatically created in our Procurement System and electronically routed to the contracting professional who posted the document.

The web site also provides the opportunity to view Request for Proposals/Invitation for Bids and their associated Amendment(s) and attachments. Additionally, procurement awards, modifications, task orders, and delivery orders are posted on the IDEAS-EC web site for the vendors to download. Awardees are automatically sent an e-mail notification to retrieve their award documents through the web site. Award summaries are also posted on the web site.
