Quarters Program
QMIS Training Schedule

Complete Quarters Management Information System (QMIS) training consists of two parts, the survey training and the QMIS software training. Both parts are covered in our 1-day training class which all (new or old) housing officers should attend. The survey training discusses the regulations and methodologies used by our office to arrive at the formulas and values that are programmed into the software in order to calculate a rent. Once completed the student will have an understanding of OMB Circular A-45, an understanding as to the determination of the value of items such as garages, air conditioners, etc. and be able to calculate a rent manually. This insightful course is a valuable tool for housing officers in answering questions from tenants for whom they set the rent. The second class is a hands-on computer workshop in which students learn to use the QMIS software. Upon completion the student will be able to install QMIS , and understand how to use QMIS including adding/deleting records, maintain current data, calculating rents and running reports.

Attendees are encouraged to attend a class in their region, however all classes are identical other than the discussion and examples of the survey results, and therefore anybody can attend any of our classes in any region. If our schedule does not meet your needs we are always open to the option of a one-on-one training course in Denver. To arrange this or for any other questions regarding our training please contact the Quarters Rental Program Manager at the QMIS office in Denver on 303-969-5050 or via email at Doug_B_Pokorney @nbc.gov.
