August 4, 2000 MEMORANDUM TO: Designated Agency Ethics Officials, Alternate Agency Ethics Officials, and Deputy Ethics Officials FROM: Barbara Mullen-Roth Associate Director for Education and Program Services SUBJECT: Desk Officer Customer Service Survey The enclosed survey is being conducted by the Office of Government Ethics' Education and Program Services Division (EPSD) to assist it in maximizing Desk Officer services. The survey solicits information on the nature and extent of your agency's use of Desk Officer services, the quality of those services, the potential for expanded use of your Desk Officer, and the overall value of the Desk Officer system to your agency. Please reproduce the survey as necessary and have each member of your staff having contact with the EPSD Desk Officer complete a separate survey. Instructions for returning the survey are included on the first page. Survey responses will be shared with EPSD Desk Officers only in summary fashion, with no attribution to individual respondents or agencies. While the survey requests general information on your agency, this information is of interest only in identifying any differences in Desk Officer use based on agency type and size.
