MEMORANDUM
TO: Designated Agency Ethics Officials, General Counsels,
Inspectors General, and Agency and Department Printing
Officers
FROM: Stephen D. Potts
Director
SUBJECT: Publication of Ethics Pamphlet
The Office of Government Ethics (OGE) is pleased to announce
the publication of a new ethics pamphlet for executive branch
employees. The pamphlet, entitled "Understanding the Revolving
Door," is intended to provide advice to executive branch employees
who are leaving the current Presidential Administration for
private sector employment. The pamphlet explains how Federal
ethics laws may affect them, both while they are looking for a job
and after they have left the Government.
Anticipating a broad demand for this pamphlet, OGE has reached
an agreement with the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO) to
allow agencies to ride OGE's requisition. If you wish to ride
OGE's order, an SF 1, Printing and Binding Requisition Form, should
be sent to GPO no later than July 17, 2000. Please include with
your order the GPO Jacket Number 467-852, and the full title of the
pamphlet -- "Understanding the Revolving Door." GPO's address and
fax number are:
United States Government Printing Office
Room C830
North Capitol and H Streets, NW.
Washington, DC 20401
Fax Number: 202-512-1260
The cost for the pamphlet will be determined on the basis of
the number of print jobs requested, but should not exceed $2.00 per
pamphlet.
